Marie Curie Big Build

After the last two fantastic races on the river Clyde this years Glasgow’s duck race was bigger and better than before.

We were delighted to be supporting Marie Curie and the Big Build raising funds of £14,565  for Glasgow’s new state of the art hospice.

As part of the Glasgow River Festival, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July. For more information on the River festival and all of the activities that were on over the weekend click here.

Everyone had a fantastic time and even got a chance to meet John Altman (aka Nasty Nick Cotton) from Eastenders, who launched our race this year.  Although our host John Manning and him didn't quite hit it off at first as the photo suggests.  By the end of the race they seemed to have become good friends, thanks to the help of Nieve Jennings (former Miss UK).  Even Mikey Hughes from Big Brother came along to show his support.

The first place prise going to duck number 5668, won a fantastic all-inclusive 5* holiday for four people courtesy of Direct Holidays. Second place which went to duck number 2358 was a stunning brand new Peugeot 107 courtesy of Excel Rooftrim who were also there on the day to lend a hand and had a tremendous balloon launch from the Clyde Arch Bridge.
